Dr. Patrick Thistlethwaite
Dr. Patrick Thistlethwaite opened the Animal Medical Center of Plaquemine in 1983. He received his Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980.
Dr. Jenny Thistlethwaite
Dr. Jenny Thistlethwaite is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Patrick Thistlethwaite. She graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2011.
Tammy Falcon – Office Manager
Tammy has worked in the veterinary field for 19 years, gaining experience in all areas of a veterinary practice. She began her career as a veterinary assistant, and quickly worked her way up to OFFICE MANAGER. She spends most of her time making sure the daily operations run smoothly and (just to name a few) payroll, accounting and other managerial duties.
She enjoys spending time with her SUPER SWEET grandson and family. And last but not least, her 13 year old Pomeranian “Mookie” and rescued cat “Sam “.
Simone Beauvais – Veterinary Technician
Simone was born and raised in White Castle. She started at the Animal Medical Center as a volunteer and was hired in 2013. She received a Veterinary Technology degree at Penn Foster College in 2017.
Outside of work she’s the proud mother of her daughter and happy owner of two cats, “Mason” & “Shadow” and a Dachshund, “Danny” .
Lyssa Greif – Veterinary Technician
Lyssa, another of our veterinary technicians, joined our staff in 2015. She strives to learn and grow with our practice and brings to her job a love of animals.
She keeps busy out side of work spending time with her pets “Milo”, “Khaki”, “Mila”, family and friends.
Joel Verret – Veterinary Technician
Joel has a great sense of humor! Along with gratitude, hope, and spirituality. He is an animal lover that grew up in Plaquemine with dogs, cats, goats and chickens. He graciously volunteered his time at the Animal Medical Center for two years before being hired on part time as a veterinary technician in 2017. He is currently obtaining a degree in Biology at BRCC.
He spends his spare time in fellowship with family and friends. He also enjoys spending time with his many furry friends.
Jessica Fuchs – Receptionist
Jessica began working at Animal Medical Center in 2015 as the primary receptionist. She is originally from Littleton Colorado and moved to Louisiana in 2014. Jessica was introduced to the veterinary field in 2015. She realized working at a veterinary hospital combines both of her passions, customer service and animals. Since then, she has chosen to finish her degree and is currently attending BRCC in the Veterinary Technology program.
She loves spending time with her boyfriend and his cat “Noonie” and her two dogs, “Draven” & “Freya”. She also enjoys playing video games!
